Boulter Industrial Contractors is proud to announce that Kristin Clauss has joined the team as Controller. Kristin brings a wealth of accounting expertise and a deep appreciation for working with closely held and employee-owned businesses.
“What attracted me to Boulter was its reputation and the people,” said Clauss. “The opportunity was a perfect fit for my experience, but there are lots of opportunities. What really stood out to me beyond the professional fit was the leaders and the people I would be working with every day.”
Kristin’s career spans both public and private accounting, with a consistent focus on businesses where collaboration and shared success are at the heart of operations. “There is something very special about working towards tangible successes with the folks you see and work with every day—knowing that what you do impacts them directly. That’s what inspires me professionally,” she shared.
Since joining Boulter, Kristin says her favorite part of the role has been learning something new every day. “It’s energizing to apply yourself to new experiences, especially in an industry I had never been exposed to before. I’ve had generous and patient guidance, which has made the learning curve a fun one.”
When asked about what stands out most about Boulter’s culture, Kristin pointed to the team’s authenticity and openness. “At Boulter there is a culture where trust is genuinely given, and communication flows regularly in a very positive and informal manner. Those characteristics combined allow you to be relaxed and present in your work.”
Outside the office, Kristin enjoys spending time outdoors and staying active through cycling, hiking, and traveling—often combining those passions into memorable adventures. She loves discovering new places each year, reading, and listening to podcasts. On her bucket list: a hiking trip to Glacier National Park in Montana, which she hopes to cross off in 2027.
